He is still sharing a home with his cousin Andy and says that he will be going to Thanksgiving at his cousin Tammy's house. We will miss you Nik and be thinking of you but hope you have a great Thanksgiving : )

Mom's Christmas Party Ideas and events

Christmas Party ideas and activities by Mom:

Mom sent me an update on Christmas activities in their neck-of-the-woods and wanted me to let everyone know they are invited if you would like to go! Also...some ideas and dates to keep in mind for the Christmas Party. Please be thinking of what days work for you and bring any ideas you have with you to Thanksgiving!

Mom writes:

"Just thought I would let you know about some things going on in CG. Our Ward Christmas Party is on Dec. 15th. It is centered around Nauvoo so everyone is supposed to come dressed for the time period. Wouldn’t you know it. I hung on to our costumes for years and only last year did I dispose of them. So I will have to work on that. Part of the evening is to have the town of Nauvoo with Skovill Bakery and other Nauvoo historical places. Anyway, if anyone is interested you’re invited. Starts at 6PM. I’ll get more information this Sunday.
Also, in CG on Dec 9 at 7PM is the annual community performance of the Messiah and it’s held at our Stake building. It involves all the churches in our community and there are some really great voices in this choir. It’s been our tradition since moving here in 2004 that we attend this really great performance. Each year we hear the choir we think it can’t get any better and each year we are amazed at even greater performance than before. If anyone is interested we would love to share this community event from our little town with you. It lasts an hour and there is usually a big variety of cookies for refreshments afterwards.
I think I already mentioned some ideas for family time: an evening at the temple to see the lights and enjoy the nightly performances at the visitor center (also the nativity display at visitor center). Maybe hot chocolate afterwards or a treat at Nielsen’s frozen custard. As far as a family activity goes I guess we are available except for Dec. 2, 9 and 15th.
We are looking forward to being with everyone at Thanksgiving."

Happy Birthday to Haley!

Haley Bradshaw's 11th Birthday Party:

Our little Haley is growing up fast! We will be celebrating her 11th Birthday on Thanksgiving Day after the big feast! If anyone would like to join in, we will be singing Happy Birthday to her with ice cream ( the birthday girl doesn't like cake..."yuck!"~Haley Bradshaw) and distributing presents in the early evening : ) Happy Birthday Haley!! We love you!!

P.S. Haley's favorite colors are neon pink and neon green and she looooves "really long journals so I can write in them."

Christmas Party Dates and Ideas

Possible December Dates for the Walter Bradshaw family and friends Christmas Party:

It has been suggested (Thanks, Mom!) that we should start planning now for the Christmas Party. Several suggestions have been made about what activity we could plan and possible dates for getting together. It seems like the best idea is to plan one day in December when we can all get together for a Christmas activity/party and enjoy eachother's company in the event that everyone isn't able to gather at the same time on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day.

Please bring your ideas to Thanksgiving dinner or email them to julierobbins27@yahoo.com so that they may be discussed and an activity decided upon (I'm so excited!). Also, please check your calanders Everyone so that we can pick a good day to get together. I realize it is a busy time but it would be so great if we could all at least decide on a date before we finish our second helpings of pumpkin pie.

Love you all and see you soon!

Thanksgiving Plans

Thanksgiving plans are underway!

As of today, I would like to invite you to attend the Walter Bradshaw family and friends Thanksgiving Dinner on November 22, 2012 at Keith and Wendy Bradshaw's house. Please contact us for the address if you do not know it : )

Dinner time is still to be determined but please check back for updates here for an exact time as we move closer to Thanksgiving Day. It will likely be served early to midafternoon.

Early visitors are invited to join us after 11 a.m. to enjoy eachother's company and hob knob until the turkey makes it's grand entrance.

Food Assignments will likely be made to cover the basics (i.e.: mashed potatoes, corn, rolls, etc.) but you are invited to bring your favorite thanksgiving dish if you know your family (or others) will enjoy having it : ) Food assignments will also be made as the big day gets a little nearer.

We realize that many of us have a lot of schedules to coordinate but we encourage everyone to try to stop in and if you can't make it for dinner...please come for dessert!

Welcome!

Hello Everyone and welcome to the Walter Bradshaw family and friends blog where we hope to keep everyone updated and involved in upcoming events!

Ultimately, I will be switching this blog to a website that will give us more options to communicate and share. Until then, I thought it would be best to dive in and get started so that everyone knows what is going on for the holidays. If you have any questions about activities or if you have an event you would like to have posted, please contact me by email at julierobbins27@yahoo.com or by calling me at 520-312-2140.
